Labor Law Reform Legislation Must Pass Now! IFPTE Joins PRO Act Digital Day of Action
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the bipartisan Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act on March 9th to empower workers to organize and bargain, hold corporations accountable for union-busting, and repeal “right to work” laws, which were created during the Jim Crow era to keep White and Black workers from organizing together. When the same legislation passed the House in the last Congress, anti-worker Senators blocked its consideration in the Senate. Now is the time for the Senate to act and pass this critically important bill to level the playing field for workers involved in union organizing drives. As this bill is awaiting Senate consideration, IFPTE is happy to join the AFL-CIO led ‘Build Back Better with Unions’ campaign centered around passage of the PRO Act. Please add your voice to this effort here.
