Local 196 Organizing Wins Continue to Grow - Brings in Two New Units

Led by Local 196 President/Atlantic Area Vice President Sean McBride and Local 196 business manager Jimmy Robertello, the Local continued to build their ranks by recently organizing the Asbury Park Housing Authority workers and workers at the South Jersey Transportation Authority. 

The addition of the new bargaining unit comes on top of another recent addition of workers employed by the South Jersey Transportation Authority. McBride commented that “IFPTE has a great reputation in New Jersey as the union of choice for public sector workers. Working together and in solidarity, we take pride in providing our members with top notch representation at the bargaining table and in the workplace. Local 196 is proud to represent these hard-working public servants.”
