Local 3 Members Come Out in Force at Their Annual Oktoberfest Gathering in Philadelphia

IFPTE Local 3 president, Paul Dobias, and executive vice president, Dawn Dillette, hosted members and others from across the IFPTE family at their Oktoberfest event at The Gate House in South Philadelphia on Wednesday evening.

The event included an address from President Dobias and an election to fill the seat on the Local 3 board held by former Local 3 president, Brother John Garrity, who recently retired from federal service.  Sister Cathryn Barnett accepted her new position as Vice President and Brother Robert Hillgrube accepted his new position as Trustee.

Brother Dobias commented on the event, saying, “Our Oktoberfest event was an opportunity to honor Brother Garrity for his service to Local 3 and IFPTE, while also coming together in Solidarity with Local 3’s strong membership, our retirees like Denise Harper, other IFPTE Local leaders from the Association of Administrative Law Judges (AALJ/Judicial Council 1), IFPTE international staff and officers, and Philadelphia AFL-CIO president, Danny Bauder.  It was a festive and productive gathering.”

Also in attendance were AALJ/JC1 president, Judge Som Ramrup; International Rep, David LaFemina; International Legislative/Political Director, Faraz Khan, and International President, Matt Biggs.
