Local 98 Honors and Thanks Brother Franco DiCroce with the Local’s Lifetime Achievement Award
After nearly four decades of federal service, Franco DiCroce retired from the United States Army Corps of Engineers at the end of June. In doing so, Brother DiCroce was also presented with the much deserved Local 98 Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing him for his nearly four decades of service to his fellow colleagues and union members.
DiCroce, who served in every level of leadership at Local 98, including President, commented, “it is a great honor that as a part of my work for the federal government, I have also had the opportunity to serve the members of Local 98. It is through unions that workers not only have due process protections, but a voice on the job and in the workplace. As I enter retirement I will certainly keep abreast of and help where needed for Local 98 and IFPTE.”
Local 98 President, Chris Dols also weighed in, saying that, “Brother DiCroce helped to build Local 98 into the strong union that it is today, a service to our colleagues and the larger labor cause that can’t easily be repaid. We are honored to have been able to present him with the Local 98 Lifetime Achievement Award as a small token of our appreciation and wish he and his family much success as he enters retirement.”
