Society ESA Members on Strike

The Society of United Professionals/IFPTE Local 160 members employed at the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) began strike action on September 20. The ESA regulates and promotes public electrical safety as mandated by the Province of Ontario. The Society has been in a legal strike position since September 18, and last-minute bargaining between the parties has failed to produce a deal. IFPTE has offered our full solidarity and support while our Local members fight for a fair deal.
