Urgent New Jersey Member Mobilization Alert – Tell your State Legislators to Support The Responsible Collective Negotiations Act
IFPTE and the IFPTE Atlantic Council is urging all members represented by an IFPTE public sector local to urge your State Senator and Assembly Members to support the “Responsible Collective Negotiations Act” – also known as the “Janus 2” bill.
This legislation builds on the “The Workplace Democracy Enhancement Act,” which was enacted in 2018 to address several outstanding issues related to the Supreme Court case “Janus v. AFSCME.” The Janus decision overturned 41 years of judicial precedent concerning public employee union representation.
The Responsible Collective Negotiations Act protects the rights of labor unions in their work on behalf of their members, but the bill is in danger of being tabled for the year absent lawmaker action. State legislators need to hear from union members in New Jersey

Please call and email your State Senator and Assembly Members and tell them to support the “Responsible Collective Negotiations Act”
