IFPTE Attends AFL-CIO Executive Council Meeting

On Thursday, IFPTE president, Matt Biggs, and Secretary-Treasurer, Gay Henson, attended the AFL-CIO post-election executive council meeting in Washington, DC. The executive council, of which IFPTE is a member, met to recap the mid-term elections’ results and their impact on America’s working families.

Among the items discussed was the success of labor endorsed candidates, a look toward working with the incoming 118th Congress next year, and working with the current lame duck Congress for the remainder of 2022. The Executive Council also heard from Labor Secretary Marty Walsh.
