IFPTE Endorses Representative Andy Kim for United States Senate
IFPTE was proud to issue a Congressional endorsement this week for Congressman Andy Kim, who recently announced his candidacy for the United States Senate.
Several IFPTE leaders commented, including International President Matt Biggs who called Kim, “one of IFPTE’s strongest champions in the House of Representatives.” Secretary-Treasurer, Gay Henson, noted that Kim, “has always been there for the members of IFPTE.” Atlantic Area Vice President/IFPTE Local 196 President, Sean McBride, reminded us that, “since entering Congress in 2019, Kim has endorsed and cosponsored the Protecting the Right to Organize Act to help level the playing field for workers who are seeking to organize unions, and has also been a strong supporter of the Public Sector Freedom to Negotiate Act to help mitigate the damage done by the Supreme Court’s Janus decision rendering all state and local government workplaces as ‘right-to-work for less’ employers.” IFPTE Local 195 President, Deborah Spencer, commented that Representative Kim, “throws partisanship out the window and instead focuses on getting the job done for New Jersey’s working families.” Finally, IFPTE Atlantic Area Vice President/IFPTE Local 195 Trustee Chair, Steve Pinto, rounded out the comments, saying that as a constituent he has “a first-hand account of how Kim has delivered time and time again for all of his constituents here in the third district.”
