NPEU, AALJs, Send Member Newsletters in Response to Election Results

The Nonprofit Employees Union (NPEU/IFPTE Local 70), and the Association of Administrative Law Judges (AALJ/IFPTE Judicial Council 1), sent e-newsletters this week to members in response to Tuesday’s election results.

NPEU’s note, which was signed by NPEU Officers Amy Chin-Lai, President; Sarah Rawlins, Secretary-Treasurer; Amina Kranson, Vice President of Representation; John Aspray, Vice President of Organizing; Hannah Stephens, Vice President of Organizing, and; Valeria Mejia-Guevara, Vice President of Communications, informed members that “we cannot sit in despair – there’s simply too much at stake. The work of building a better future does not start or end at the polls. As a union of nonprofit workers, we are invested in continuing the fight for a better world.”

Meanwhile, AALJ president, Judge Som Ramrup, told members, “The Union will keep you apprised of any developments that may impact the bargaining unit and we intend to work with the incoming presidential transition team.”
