Reps Levin and Fitzpatrick Lead Bipartisan Effort to Modernize Private Sector Union Elections

After the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) took the unprecedented step of suspending all union representation elections in response to the COVID-19 crisis, including an election being led by ESC/IFPTE Local 20, Congressmen Andy Levin (D-MI) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) led a bipartisan sign-on letter informing House leaders that, “Given the current constraints on workers’ ability to exercise their rights during this pandemic, there is a legitimate need for accommodating the rights of workers and protecting NLRB employees during union representation elections.”

The full letter, signed by 168 House members, can be found here.
